πŸ₯™ this Bend restaurant is NOT closing!!

πŸ“£ Hear ye, hear ye!!

I am SO excited to announce that one of Bend's best Mediterranean fast-casual restaurants is no longer for sale AND will continue to operate under existing ownership.

Kefi Fast Fresh Mediterranean, located in Robal Road Village, has announced they are NOT for sale any longer. So, we're celebrating with a very special special at Kefi... and they're putting my spicy custom order on the menu.

Starting tomorrow, October 1st, you can get the Nancy's Spicy Favorite at Kefi for a limited time. And $1 from every order goes to support Bend Family Kitchen, an organization in Central Oregon serving free meals to the community.

As a regular customer at Kefi, I was devastated when they listed the business for sale. But I knew the struggles and roadblocks (literally) they were facing after the new traffic patterns made it difficult to navigate to the Robal Village shopping center.

So, I'm encouraging all of you to pay a visit to Kefi to discover or remember the amazing fresh Mediterranean food they're serving! And, if you're feeling spicy, get my spicy favorite gyro:

Pita with shrimp, spring mix, pickled onions, marinated golden beets, cucumber, fries with spicy herb sauce + honey harissa hot sauce. Oohhh it is just *chef's kiss*

It's patio season... again

Yes, our faux fall has passed and it yes yet again late summer. Which means it's the perrrfect opportunity to take advantage of a Sunriver Staycation with all the summertime experiences (like The Cove!) and leisure... without the crowds.

Local bakery embraces fall flavors

Regardless of the 80ΒΊ temps, it is in fact fall. Big Ed's Artisan Bread is serving apple cider donuts at their 1st street retail bakery β€” a spot that most locals don't even know about! Fresh baked goods are ready every weekday morning at 7:30 am including these seasonal favorites!!

A lit candle with a flame on a blurred background

Bend, I'm heart broken alongside you. In lieu of my typical weekly specials email, I've included a round-up of ways you can receive or give support to our community. Community support: Friday, October 16 πŸ₯― Bo's Bagels: Free meals, no questions asked, no matter your situation. I was able to pickup breakfast for a Silver Rail Elementary family, and they are more than happy to provide this. You don't need to explain. All meals will be discounted 100% at the register. πŸ₯― Mimi's Bagels: If you are...

Take farm-to-table to the next step... with a forest-to-table feast. Autumn is one of the best times of the year to forage for mushrooms in Oregon, and the finds are often magical (no, not that kind of magic mushroom). I'm talking about forest-grown culinary mushrooms, ready to be foraged. Wild Rye at Brasada Ranch will host its annual feast, The Foraged Dinner + wine pairing, on October 24 at 6 pm. The banquet and menu is curated by Chef Karl Holl who hunts and picks the mushrooms by hand,...
