πŸ§‘β€πŸŒΎπŸŒ„ your weekend itinerary is here!

You know what time it is, it's LOCALS SUMMER!

Let me clarify. Locals' Summer is that time just after Labor Day Weekend, but before the season turns to fall. It's the time when your favorite restaurant is bit quieter, and you can still find parking downtown. It's also the perfect time to enjoy your own bit of tourism with less crowds.

But this time isn't just for locals; September is the ideal time for visitors who are looking to experience a slightly less busy version of summer in Bend. One of my favorite things to do this time of year is to tour the High Desert Food Trail, an initiative from HDFFA and Travel Oregon that highlights farms and restaurants serving the local community!

AND I HAVE A TREAT FOR YOU 🍭 to make this experience even easier, I've put together and entire done-for-you itinerary for a full day in Sisters exploring the food trail, with five stops, farm tours, wine tasting, dinner, and more!

Thanks to my partnership with HDFFA, I've been able to create this amazing (and free!!) itinerary that you can download for the easiest exploration. It includes driving directions, best times to visit, my favorite offerings at each stop, and all the info you'll need to high the trail.

Be sure to download the full guide for the best experience 🫢🏼

A lit candle with a flame on a blurred background

Take farm-to-table to the next step... with a forest-to-table feast. Autumn is one of the best times of the year to forage for mushrooms in Oregon, and the finds are often magical (no, not that kind of magic mushroom). I'm talking about forest-grown culinary mushrooms, ready to be foraged. Wild Rye at Brasada Ranch will host its annual feast, The Foraged Dinner + wine pairing, on October 24 at 6 pm. The banquet and menu is curated by Chef Karl Holl who hunts and picks the mushrooms by hand,...
